About the event

We're back, and we're on the east side of our city again for the launch of our 11th year of free, inclusive social bike rides. Get those bikes out of storage and shake off the cobwebs! We're ready to roll in 2024 and we hope to start things off with a rousing kickoff event in Wade Oval, the epicenter of the cultural, academic and scientific goings-on of our great city.

We'll have representatives on hand from a few of those institutions, hopefully, along with folks from University Circle Inc. and uGO, UCircle's mobility and transportation advocacy organization, to tell you about all the cool stuff going on around here.

The setting will be Wade Oval, a seven-acre oasis surrounded by history and some of the greatest art created by humans. The stately park has also hosted Slow Roll on a number of occasions, and we'll be gathering at 6 PM in the northern end of the park, in the spot filled in winter with the Wade Oval skating rink. Look for our booth and probably a fair number of bikes.

We ride out of Wade Oval at 7 PM for a leisurely paced 10-mile ride around the east side of town.

If you haven't done so yet, please click the link below to register for 2024 rides. You only need to do so once:

While you're at it, take a gander at slowrollcleveland.org and check out some of the new features, including our updated schedule.

We'll also have free pocket schedules to hand out on May 6, along with our all-new merch selection for 2024. So you won't want to miss getting the first crack at a new Slow Roll t-shirt.

Please make sure your bike is in good operating condition before coming to the ride! We're primarily concerned with properly inflated tires, but you'll also want to check that your brakes are working properly and that your chain is in decent shape. Check the following guide for more info:

Additionally, since we're still early in the year, make sure your bike is lit with front and rear lights so we all remain visible in the latter half of the ride.
