How We Roll
1. Listen to Squad. The safety of the riders is our #1 priority.

2. Be respectful. Keep your music at a reasonable volume, don’t litter, and don’t be negative to other riders, community members, or Squad. When you ride with us, you are representing Slow Roll; we stand for positive change in our community.
3. Stay to the right and share the road. Always leave room for Squad and vehicular traffic to pass on the left.
4. Stay behind the ride leaders, and ride tightly as a group. We are most visible when we ride together. Any large gaps can give motor vehicles the chance to pass or cut through the group. If you are a slower rider and fall behind the group, Squad will escort you to the front of the ride in an effort to avoid gaps at the back of the ride.
5. Communicate, be aware, and be predictable. Call out or signal what you see and do (“passing on your left,” “slowing,” “hole,” etc.). Always check behind you before passing. Be aware and respectful of other cyclists and traffic around you. If you see dangerous behavior, please alert a member of Squad.
6. Do not distract other riders or members of Squad. Please help to keep everyone safe by not distracting other riders and not engaging in risky riding behaviors. If you have a particularly distracting bicycle or style of riding, please ride at the back of the ride. This includes, but is not limited to: doing wheelies or tricks, riding a tall bike, large custom bikes, large speakers, and electric scooters.
7. Bring a bicycle in good working order, and wear a helmet. Helmets are strongly encouraged on Slow Roll. Squad is equipped to help with on-ride maintenance issues like a flat or low tire and very minor mechanical problems. If you arrive with a bike that is not safe to ride, Squad cannot fix it for you. If your bike becomes unrideable during the course of the ride, the chase car (if present and available) can give you and your bicycle a ride to the finish. Low-speed electric bicycles are allowed on Slow Roll. We do not allow vehicles with a non-manual power source, including but not limited to gas-powered vehicles.
