About the event
Our first Saturday ride of 2024 is upon us! If you had as tremendous a Monday as we just did, you can join us at the Polish-American Cultural Center this Saturday for a relaxing cooldown.
The ride starts at 3 PM from the parking lot directly across the street from the Center (6501 Lansing Avenue in Slavic Village). We'll have a stripped-down setup for this event, so if you're looking to purchase a t-shirt or grab a schedule, you'll need to wait until our Juneteenth ride on the 17th. Otherwise you can show up around 2:30 and look for squad in our safety yellow shirts.
After the ride, the Center will open its garden and will be serving Polish beer for thirsty riders, and we'll be grilling up Polish sausages. Traditional Polish sides will also be available for purchase.
From CoolCleveland.com:
"Right in the middle of a well-established working-class neighborhood in Cleveland’s Slavic Village sits the Polish-American Cultural Center. The Center houses a community hall for banquets and other gatherings, complete with a stage and kitchen.
The walls have murals painted on them that depict Poland’s most prominent cities. The older two-story building next door houses the Polish museum and library. The museum has permanent exhibits showing Poland’s political and military history, its contributions to the arts, its involvement with the United States and cultural artifacts as well."
