Slow Roll Schedule Reveal and Fundraiser 2023

We're getting ready for the 2023 Slow Roll season, and once again, we're inviting you to a party to show off the details! Come and join us Monday, April 24 at 7:30 PM at B Side Lounge in Cleveland Heights for a night of fun that helps keep our rides rolling all year long.

We'll reveal one date for you early, and that one might have slipped out already; expect an official announcement on our season opener within the next few days. But on the 24th we'll reveal the other 22 weeks of Slow Roll Cleveland's attempt to cover _all_ of Cleveland's map in '23. We looked at where we'd been, and we saw a few gaps; this year will feature more brand new locations than any year before. Expect lots of new and exciting routes with a perspective on local geography and neighborhoods that will serve to reinforce and highlight our organization mission: bridging communities through inclusive social bike rides.

It takes a lot of volunteers and, honestly, money to keep this ride going, so we're treating the party as a fundraiser to get things rolling with a little momentum. There will be a ticket charge for the event, which will also be restricted to 21-and-over, as it takes place in a lounge. Tickets will cost $15 before the 24th, and $20 the day of, at the door. (The B Side will add a small surcharge of 45 cents to each transaction imposed on it by its ticket processing service, which we can't get around; if you're not happy about paying it, talk to us at the event.) The ticket price both covers our expenses in putting on the event and also includes our New and Improved World Famous Taco Bar, making its glorious return this year!

The B Side's bar will be open as well (drinks are _not_ on us, unfortunately), along with a DJ or two, a free instant(ish) photo booth where you can pose with Slow Roll memorabilia from the past, present and future, live presentation of our incoming board, videos from last year and much more.

We'll also have our new Slow Roll merch on sale, including a sweet new 10th Anniversary T-shirt.

A quick note about why we need your financial support:

The money we raise from the party (and donations throughout the year) will help fund our operating costs through the entire 2023 season. As a non-profit, we depend almost entirely on donations from riders, along with the sale of merchandise. It costs quite a bit to put on a ride like this, from the shirts that your trusty SQUAD wear to the tubes and other supplies we carry with us on rides to lend a hand where needed. This year we'll continue expanding and enhancing our operations; we have several goals in mind that could get quite pricy, but will make the ride more enjoyable for everyone, from live entertainment and vendors after our rides, to a trailer we'll use to store our entire operation and bring it quickly onsite to set up before and after rides. We cannot do it without you, nor would we want to, because you, the Slow Roll Riders, are the entire reason we put this ride on every week. Thank you for the support, it means everything to us
