Slow Roll Week 22: Cleveland Public Square

Week 22 of our 2023 series of free and inclusive bike rides continues our final month's theme of visiting some of the great public gathering spaces of our city -- starting with the just completed Shaker Square ride (thanks to our friends at Bike Your Neighborhood and to all the area residents who came out and enjoyed it with us!), we continue on to Public Square and Wade Oval before concluding our season slate at the end of this month in Market Square Park.

We are back in bustling downtown CLE for this one, in historic Public Square at the foot of the equally historic Terminal Tower. We gather at 6 PM and ride out at 7 PM from the north side of the square (furthest away from Terminal Tower and the iconic Soldiers' & Sailors' Monument.)

Parking will be entirely a self-selecting adventure for this ride, so plan your trip accordingly. With construction of the new Sherwin Williams world HQ in downtown, parking spaces are tighter than usual. Consider parking a bit further away from the Square and riding in, paying for parking at a nearby lot, or simply not driving at all and utilizing public transportation, since we will be meeting at Cleveland's main transit hub.

Expect a dark ride with not much in the way of daylight left this time of year. Keep your bike well lit so we can let everyone know we're coming!
