About the event

We have finally come to the end, friends. After a long, amazing season that saw us lead huge crowds of bike riders out into the streets of Cleveland week after week, we must once again say goodbye to regular Monday rides for the next six months.

As has become our tradition, we close with a party. Our annual costume ride kicks off the day before Halloween, Monday, Oct. 30 from Market Square Park at W. 25th and Lorain.

Our costume theme this year is "Space: The Final Frontier," but it's just a suggestion. Feel free to come any way you like, costume or no costume, space or grounded in more earthly delights. What _is_ important is if you do come in costume, please plan on arriving by 6:45 PM. We will judge the best costume at that time, and anyone present by 6:45 will be eligible to win prizes.

We will award three prizes for best costume this year;

1st place: Axiom handlebar bad (courtesy of Beat Cycles) and a Slow Roll t-shirt of your choice from a selection we'll make available.

2nd place: Beat Cycle water bottle and Slow Roll t-shirt.

3rd place: Slow Roll t-shirt.

The ride will be a bit shorter than usual, allowing for costume based snafus and also as allowance for the fact that it will probably be on the colder side on Monday. But we will still tour a variety of spooky sights again this year and make it worth your while to participate.

There's no prize for best decorated bike this year, but feel free to dress up your bike as well! Spooky music is also appreciated, and anything else that contributes to our rolling party.

We have really enjoyed putting on these rides this year. A huge thanks to our volunteer squad for guiding us safely through our streets, and also to our fantastic ridership, which has grown from a small, dedicated core to hundreds of faithful who rarely miss a ride, and who are incredibly generous and welcoming to the new riders who show up each and every week.
