A couple of years ago I was put in charge of our company’s customer rewards program and at first I thought it would be straightforward, just give points, offer discounts, and everyone would be happy.
Every new feature brings both joy and pain. Joy — because the product grows. Pain — because UX starts breaking. I keep asking myself: how do I keep it powerful but simple? I want users to feel in control, not overwhelmed. Maybe I need a better prioritization system. Or the courage to cut things out. If you’ve been here before, I’d love your advice.
