Join us for our slowest roll of the year, the Cleveland Kurentovanje parade! It's so slow, that we'll ride our bikes in circles around each other for about a half mile. At the end we'll enjoy all the fun the Kurentovanje Festival has to offer.
Don't want to bring your bike? We'll also need walkers to carry our banner!
We'll gather at Saint Martin de Porres starting at 11am and the parade will step off at NOON. Look for yellow Squad shirts as we line up outside the high school.
For the unfamiliar, Kurentovanje (koo-rehn-toh-VAHN-yeh) is a multi-day "Slovenian Mardi Gras" festival, celebrating the end of winter and the beginning of spring.
I read the post about the Slow Roll Cold Roll Cleveland Kurentovanje edition and it sounds like such a fun bike ride that brings people together with music, culture, and community spirit. Seeing everyone pedal through the city in celebration reminded me how local events can make a big day feel special. While I was juggling deadlines last semester, I even had to use take my online course for me support to stay on track. It reminded me that finding time for both learning and life events takes real effort.
